what’s up the highest amount of calls/dials you’ve made in a day?

I'm curious, I've heard some wild numbers before, someone mentioned they've made 900 "dials in a day. " I've never made more than 90.

what about you guys?

Not me, but my fiancé is an absolute savage when it comes to cold calling. She used to work for a company that sold ad space (not yelp) and she was busting out 227 calls a day on average. She is an absolute SAVAGE

100 is my daily max. Thankfully I've never needed more than that.

A company I used to work for asked me to run an experiment and see how many calls I could make in a day. It was clearly because they saw other reps doing about 50-60 calls per day when I average approx. 90.

The deal was, 8-hour day, work as normal answering emails, managing a normal work load. Two 10-minute breaks and one 30 minute lunch. I made something like 140 calls... It was exhausting, but it did show me what was possible.

I did the same amount when I worked for a Freight Broker and I was trying to cover a load. Fun times.

Lmao I'm starting to get flashbacks. The company I worked for LOVED stressing us out. They'd always tell us that we need to cover a load with on-time delivery or the customer would drop us. Felt like they told us that weekly.

We also had to deal with after-hours issues since our after-hours team only did check calls. I got woken up at 3 AM once letting me know that my team drivers got into a crash and would mess up the timing of the roundtrip delivery.

Hahahahahahahahah I was told, a booking a day keeps the nate away, expectations, book 2 or spots per day to assure that at least 25% stayed. With the contract, never provide service based on truth, be a yes man, book the spot, send the contract, make them sign it, move on.

150~ with maybe a 15-20% connect rate.

It's brutal and a shotgun approach that really doesn't work.

Drilling down on a few key contacts and hounding them is better imo.

My best day ever was a little over 160 calls. During a blitz, for a prize.

I set about 10 meetings that day, so not a terrible conversion rate. But it was a 6 AM to 8 PM Blitz that included some pre-scheduled meetings that took me out of the game, plus lunch.

To achieve this I did all the planning the day before and loaded everything up in Salesloft, then used that to jam.

I don't think this level is sustainable over the long term because of the planning overhead. I used half of the day before to prep for this.

50 - 80 dials / day seems to be pretty attainable on a consistent basis.

900 dials in a day is freaking useless. That's 0.8 minutes / call on average for a 12 hour day with zero breaks.

Either it's a transactional sale or that person is using some kind of automation technology to cut slack time, such as auto-dropping VM's, etc... Either way 900 dials very likely means next to zero connects and no meetings set. Just a bunch of running in place.

Work smarter before working harder.

I made 187 calls in one day. We were 1 demo short of our monthly record and it was the last day to book, so we had a mad blitz to get that last one in. I think 2 people picked up lmao and then I've had days where I call 10 people and book 3 demos.

I heard it was with an auto dialer and with no voicemails, so the next call would start the second the other one ended. Not my personal experience though just going off of a buddys story

I’ve made up to 175 but that’s on days where no one is answering and I’m calling a new list of leads that may have a lot of invalid numbers / etc.

900 is not possible unless they were hanging up before the call was done ringing. Even then it’s a huge stretch.

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
So, if they made 900 calls - let's assume:

-They had an autodialer
-They were making a call every 40 seconds (no voicemail on any calls)
-They made zero connects

That would be 90 calls an hour and 10 hours. With no breaks.

So this person worked an 11-12 hour day, minimum. It's possible but insane. I'd like to see that broken down because I'm thinking...BS.

I think I made north of 160 when I was a BDR.

Definitely autodialer, I’m also assuming there’s some hyperbole here but I’m guessing they wouldn’t exaggerate by more than like 100 calls lol….ive been wrong plenty of times before though. I could never ever even touch 900

Using a tool like Connect and Sell, I've definitely had a couple of days making 900 calls. With that tool, it was pretty easy to average 200-300 calls per day.

Yeah it is. Looks like 20+ people dialing for you at a time. The first person to pick up gets connected with you.

The classic. At a prior role that focused heavily on call metrics I had a list of numbers with call menus. Call, let it hold for 30 seconds so it looks like a real gatekeeper objection, move on.

I think that was one of the most unproductive days of the year. They sourced some shitty leads.
