Are you sending notes with every connection request?
I did a little A/B testing sometime last year and I figured that no note is better than any note overall. However if you can personalize the note, go for it. If not, don't send any note.

Usually I send a personalized note given that personally when I receive a "no note" connection message it feel like the other size is just too lazy to even try and personalize something...

No note has worked better for me. If they accept connection request, then that’s my low hanging fruit and I personalize a message and or video

Think about it like this:
How do you feel when someone you don't know randomly sends you a connection request with no note?
Personally I don't like it and it feels spammy. I typically respond with a funny statement about my memory and ask who they are or how we know each other. Then I base my judgement on their response.
It takes 2 seconds to write something. Anything. I recommend it.

Try sending vids. 45 seconds or less just saying hi and allowing them to put a face to a name. Let them know who you are and why you’re reaching out very briefly. Let me know how this works !

Agreed. I get way more accepted requests sending blank requests then personalized messages as a part of the request.
