What's your crazy zoom sales story?

I once was in a demo call few months ago with 1 particular CXO of my prospect company. It was just the 2 of us. But he liked the product so much that he said he would like to call his team on the call if I didn't mind. I of course, was all into it as it proved to be a good sign.

In a few mins it was ~50 people on the call. When he said team, I thought his fellow CXOs, but he literally invited the whole company on the call. Out of 140 odd people, around 50 were able to make it on a short notice.

Never have I seen this happen!

I was showing my screen and didn't have my DND on Teams - got into a pricing call where I lost my cool and my SE who was on the call messaged me "you can't win an argument with idiots".

The guy saw it on the screen and lost his mind.

Fair enough - my dumb self was working off one screen that day and didn't think about the DND function on teams.

Ooof I'm sorry for that. Did you try to apologize and get another call?

When he called out the screen I said you know it's unfortunate we've gotten to this point in the call, but I wish you the best of luck and look forward to seeing your business growth without us.

I'm not even lying when I say I check his company out a few weeks ago as I was working through our CRM and his account came up.ย  The business is now closed 9 months later.

This was not me, but some dude I worked with at a previous company, who was honestly a real moron, had a zoom meeting where he had to share his screen. He shared his whole screen, not just the window, and he had his slack open. He must have thought that he wasn't sharing his slack because his BDR was on the call too and he started to talk shit about the guy on the call over slack with his bdr. He said that the guy was a dumbass and that his website was terrible. The guy stopped the call and said something like. "Oh yeah? my website sucks and I'm a dumbass? Fuck you man" and hung up. It was recorded on gong sand passed around the whole company. Soooo funny.

I was closing an M&A just last week and the buyer's attorney's kid runs in the room and punches him STRAIGHT IN THE NOSE. Blood everywhere. The kid was probably like 4, but who does that?!

Closed it up though, don't worry.
