What's your commission percentage of each sale you make? I'm in enterprise SaaS and mine is 7.5% generally, with some other kickers for various things. Typical deal size is $100k-150k.

I'm on about 12%, but before I was at 50% of quota it was 9%. Deal size varies so wildly as I'm doing both new biz and upsells.
I'm a CEO so I don't have a cut per se, but thinking of hiring someone in the next few months.ย
Here is how I'd structure it:
- 0% commission to hit the base pay (they need to bring ARR to cover their salary)
- 30-50% commission after this (uncapped)

What's the product/service?ย How long are the anticipated sales cycle?ย My OTE is $200K, but we have pretty long sales cycles.
sales cycle around 1-3 weeks and deals way less than $150k
It's a standard # not a percentage, but I kind of like that
10%, enterprise SaaS sales with average acv in 200-300k. Gradually increases to 20% as you over achieve.
Better than it used to be! In my first sales job before I knew any better, I got totally screwed with the comp plan. My largest single sale with that company was $625k and I made $2,500 Pretax commission from it.

Fair to middling
5% on billable, average deal size is about 50k but there are much smaller and much larger deals going on at all times. Sales cycle is about 1-3 months. I do get a yearly residual on all closed deals whether they stay retained or not as well.ย
I am going after that Rolex - at this pace I should be getting it in 2089.
