What's your workflow post holiday?

As many of us groggily roll up to our desks this morning, I can't help but think that 99% of my clients and prospects DONT want another task added to their list if I call them. I, however, am refreshed and ready to grind.

So, my fellow savages, what's your experience for optimal results from prospect/client outreach on days like today? Do you find that your numbers are down, the same or actually better?

What's your flow?

I'm hungover and raspy this morning, as I'm sure the majority of my people are too. I'll ease into it via email today. You get an email! You get an email! Everyone gets an email!

I definitely ease into outreach a bit, for my prospects' sake.

I'm fired up and ready to go!

I'm hungover and feel like shit. Drank a ton of water, cracked a bang and just finished a call blitz. A lot of people are MIA or Ooo from what I'm seeing.

I take it nice and slow because I expect half of my prospects to be angry for being back at work or hungover and angry. Big email kind of day.

So far, its been clean up the pipeline, inbox and internal roadblocks. Network, emails and calls to confirm existing appointments.

You doing cold outreach with your calls?

yeah, my life exists on cold deals. we have some good tools to warm them up. but out of every 100 contacts, 7 will be warmed a little. that wont pay the bills. gotta get another 7-8 out of the remaining 93 and then that'll get me a deal.

Ah. I do a blend, but heavier on the personal network referral side.

I have no tools or company assistance to get me anything, would certainly be nice! Maybe one day @paddy will lend me an intern to do cold outbound. You know I can torture appropriately to keep up with the training protocols!

I'm sending one your way. He has a lot of scars and cig burns but is still good for about 200 calls/day. Is that okay with you?

Works for me, as long as you don't mind him returned with bits missing. I'm extremely motivated today, and that enthusiasm tends to spill over.

If I give you a % of commission on closed deals he sources, we good?

Depends on whether it furthers training goals. IMO, discipline always needs to be done with purpose.

If its simply for your own amusement, then it would only be polite to compensate the responsible party for personal use.

Well the good news is this is our Q4, so I’m off begging clients to return DocuSign’s and will be doing that til the end of the month. What a fun time!

Quick update. 4 of 7 DocuSign’s returned. Not too shabby!

I’ll hit my current deals hard on a day like this. Get things scheduled, check ins, co firm decision making timelines. I won’t cold call on a day like this. I’ll prep a cadence for tomorrow.

Yes - it's the current deals I'm most concerned about. Folks who didn't follow through on next steps with the previous Friday deadline. I have a feeling they have a big stack of "to-do"s, hence the question.

I will also be easing into the day! Leadership decided a team catch up would be a good idea for 8 AM this morning so I'm recovering from that & then will get down to firing some emails and phone calls off

Weirdly enough so many people get back into work mode after Labor Day so business seems to finally pick up after 1.5 months off. So now everyone is under the gun and super stressed but hey it’s buying time and their fiscal budgets need to be used so it’s a hell of a time to sell.

I usually wait post holidays to call in the afternoons, that gives them time to catch up on busy work and have some time to settle back in. I take holidays to do emails, sourcing, and LinkedIn messages. Happy Grinding!

Same thing I do every day. Check email to see who told me to kick rocks, then hammer the phone for the rest of the day.

The latter of your first para has me motivated my amigo.

However, numbers down? Google the industry, in-depth - into those damn rabbit holes, and you may come across something.
