Ask for feedback on your work. How can I improve? What gaps in my skills do you see? What should I work on?ย

If they are invested in you they will help you grow.

Most managers look at 2 things, your numbers and your ability to improve. Are you being open to coaching and improvement? Do you take suggestions? Be honest with yourself about that. If you're not then don't be surprised if you're always on the chopping block.ย  On top of what everyone else said about asking about how to improve, ask your manager if they feel you are actually following up and making improvements.

man turnover is sometimes intentional. what can you do? group think is dangerous and sometimes in leadership we're like 'it's all process! the process works! fire all the expensive people and get new ones! its the process!'

and then they fuck themselves. but the point is sometimes you can't do anything about it. do your best, constantly be on the look out for better opportunities and hang in there.

Ask them what do you want to see from me by the end of the year?ย  Should give you a short time frame to see if you have time to make improvements on metrics and also based on his answer get some clues on his thoughts.ย

Call it out! Hey boss, I am in the middle of the pack. I want to get better. How can I get better? Can you help me. I dont want to be looking over my shoulder thinking about the possibility of losing this job. What can I do to improve?

If they help you, then you are safe. If they dont, fire up the resume and start the search.ย

Firstly you need to assert dominance, so steal their favourite pet rock and make it yours.ย

Secondly, have a chat with them ask their thoughts on how to reach the next level. Their feedback should be telling.ย

If they blow you off - time to redo the CV and put out some feelers.ย

Do you have regular 1:1s? If so, use part of it to discuss performance and career growth. That way if there is a risk you can sniff it out right then and there.

start looking for another job as a back up, but also ask for feedback on performance and areas that need improvementย

If your company gives even the slightest shit about its people you should never be fired for performance without any sort of warning. This assumes you arent creating behavioral issues or selling shady shit.

So if you haven't been warned or put on a PIP you should be ok. That being said I always appreciate when my AE's ask where they stand and what they need to do to improve. Opens the door for a really easy conversation with tactical things to focus on. Just ask.ย

Maybe be proactive and ask him on ways you can improve or ask him for a meeting where you can go over your performance and get feedback.ย

Anxiety plays a huge role in this. You think, although you are doing well, that it isn't good enough etc etc.ย

To overcome this, set a meeting in their calendar and tell them it is an informal conversation to just chat about your progress and the company.ย

Then ask them.

Say what you want and speak how you feel.ย

If they don't reply in a professional way then it probably isn't a great place to be in.ย

But 95% of the time they will listen and I guarantee, a positive outcome will come from it. Even if that is 1) you are doing well or 2) you're falling behind and we should do this.ย

If you don't speak up then the worst of what you can imagine may happen!ย

Ask him. You'll probably find out that you aren't being fired. This is very common from young salespeople and managers deal with it all the time

I ask for a feedback in every meeting and I ask my manager upfront if there is something I should know.
