My company uses LinkedIn because we truly believe in their mission to connect the world's professionals to make them more productive and successful!

Right...so let's clear that out.
1. I am not an influencer, or at least I do not consider myself one. What makes you say I am? If it's network size, there's thousands (if not more) of people better connected than me. If it's content dude, there's so many people doing so much better content that me, that that alone should rule me out.

I'm neither implying nor saying you're stupid. That is my headline indeed, and you'll find the same on my LI profile. One is a title LinkedIn gave me, the other one is actually a community award I got. I'm curious about what you guys think an influencer is, 'cause honestly I don't see myself as one. Certainly not making the money they are making lol.

I never understood why people would go anonymous actually, if not to just hide behind anonymity or just not own something, or who they are. I don't promote myself, I just use my real name. Now, regarding your logic, it's kinda flawed. If I just wanted to laugh at influencers, wouldn't I do what you guys seem to do as well and enjoy so much, that is go anonymous and just laugh at people?

1. A video where I explain the importance of building rapport - my own content. That makes me an influencer? creating content? Wow. Didn't know.
2. A freaking job opening at the company I work for.
3. Another piece of content by me, made with legos because guess what, I actually use them for work. I'm sure I'm influencing people left and right with that one.
4. Yet another piece of content by me and guess what? the same as the first one, it's me explaining why qualification poorly will literally affect your pipeline.
So by your definition, those 4 posts are actually "textbook" influencer posts. Fantastic. I never knew that creating content and posting job offers made someone an influencer. Thanks for educating me!

I use linkedin for prospecting info but I don't try to do selling in LI or any social platform. I hate what they've become and idk how to feel about them.

LinkedIn, but it doesn't reach out well. If marketing spent all day on Linkedin targeting specific people then it would, but they don't.
