What to do when a prospect no-shows?

I booked a demo for my AE and he ghosted. My AE will typically send out an email right after he calls, saying he'll try again in 5 minutes but to let him know if there's a better time.

I don't like the way it's worded. And he'll send the exact same thing if I get the prospect back on the calendar and he ghosts again.

What do you do when your prospect ghosts? Any ideas for an email template?

call them out and say, hey was really looking forward to connecting sorry we didn't catch you has the desire to evaluate us changed? I like leaving it open ended

Send @paddy after them with a fresh pack of marb reds.

Or, hit them up after 5 minutes has gone by with a gentle reminder. If they no-show, I call them and then put them into a rebook sequence (3 emails with a booking link). I don't have energy to waste on that shit.

What's the gist of the emails in the sequence?

At first I would be say something like "I know things come up all the time and we were not able to connect today, when is a better time and date that works for you?" but phone is definitely the better option

Flatter them.

Assume something has come up on their busy schedule and ask for a better time to connect. If they ghost you again then its not worth chasing down.

I would just let them know you were really looking forward to meeting with them and to reschedule when it better fits their schedule.

Send an email confirmation and introduction to AE highlighting the things that got them interested. Confirm the night before via email and if they don't respond call them an hour before the meeting. It may come off as a lot but its better having a meeting hold than not.

Put them back on the prospecting and call them as often as you would another prospect. But instead of selling the meeting just say something like “hey I sorry we missed you last week. Are you free next week for a call?” Of course only if they answer...lol

I think @SaaSguy is on point for before meeting touch-cadence. If they still ghost or you can’t get ahold of them day/hour before, I’d still operate like the meeting will happen with a caveat: they have 5 mins to join or I bounce (my usual is 10). My follow up is usually a “Hey wahmsales sorry we didn’t get to connect today like we had discussed- I’m assuming something came up for ya, no big deal. When can we reschedule because I’m really excited to talk with you about [reason they took the meeting to begin with].” And end it with your available times for reschedule. I keep it purposely really informal, so it drives the ‘I’m a real person’ aspect of the interaction.

I call them the day of the meeting and send an email. If they continue to ghost them I call them often until I get some sort of response. make their life annoying because they did that.
