What type and how detail is the information you keep about B2B prospects?

I know that running a CRM properly is a broad topic. I always ask myself if I should put every piece of information about the prospect and how should I divide that (ex. Family, Interests, Goals, Cars, ???).

What do you keep, how do you divide that and why?

My crm I keep addy, phone, fax, website, contact info (minus email addys for important contacts so my marketing dept doesn't spam tf outta em with that Marketo bullshit) and enter opps and events like appointments. Personal notes etc I keep separated in a notebook. I'm not handing that shit off.

I just put interests and family on a note, I don’t keep it too in depth but something to look at.

I always look them up on Facebook to get a feel before hand

i put anything I think is relevant.
If you think that info is helpful then yes keep it in there.

I normally keep it to the key drivers they have, deadlines that are revelent, things they care about in the solution, who their boss is ect

I'll put some personal info into a record if it will help with my management of my contact, as well as CSD. I also manage key contacts in notes, so key contact info is there and for my eyes only.

I keep it as detailed as possible, but simple enough to find it.

I keep my info on a remarkable mostly easier to refer back & formatted how i want vs crm. Usually anything they take pride in or i can identify w them on -nothing too specific so it isn’t creepy stalker status

AE’s - here’s a very client-centred way to gather information about ‘WHEN’ a decision needs to be made. Doing it this way will help you shorten sales cycles and build trust. Keep in mind - not every question I ask in this example is a perfect fit for every buyer, but should give you a good place
