What was the dumbest thing you've ever done personally as a salesperson?

When I was a green SDR, I actually called the head of PR at Penn State--the Monday after the Sandusky scandal hit, and been ripping through cold calls so fast I completely forgot:

"Hey this is ____, how are you doing?"

"Uh, I've been better."

"Mondays, am I right?"

"...Have you watched the news...? (click) "

When I first got into sales I tried to mass blast a group of prospects by BCC'ing them onto an email for an upcoming event we were having (we didn't have outreach or any automated email method). Instead I CC'd them.

I proceeded to get 81 angry emails throughout the rest of the day and several angry calls.

Leaving the L0 - L4 pricing sheet open on the second screen and then accidentally sharing that screen during the negotiation call... I didn’t realise until 5 minutes in. Luckily prospect was not the fastest to understand what he saw 😅

The dumbest thing I've done was spam some poor executive at my first company and he replied "Go away you irritating muppet"
