First close ever, I vividly remember sweating through my shirt from nerves (luckily I had a jacket). The negotiations were in person, I am pretty sure I looked like a train wreck. But, they signed.ย

Honestly it was so long ago I don't remember.ย

But remember rejection and failure are temporary. They make you better and stronger.ย

First closed sale or first attempt? My first attempt I thought we were crushing it only to find out the competitor boxed us out at the exec level. I had forecasted it as commit as well. That was when I learned to always push higher in an org, and there is ALWAYS risk until the ink dries.ย

I was an SDR and my mentor was an AE who sat next to me. I was on a cold call and got the guy on the hook and then he threw an objection at me. I was still at a point where everything was brand new and was genuinely curious and asked a great question that poke a huge hole in his objection. It wasn't a surgical question or anything just the type of thing a 5 year old would say that points out a flaw in something. He then did an on the fly demo with the AE sitting next to me who closed the deal.ย
