What would you like AI to do for you?

Saw this tweet the other day

With all the talk around AI SDRs and so on, what exactly do you need AI to do for you seriously? What are the best use cases that make your life easier?

For me:

  1. Research with Perplexity and scraping saves time instead of visiting 150 different tabs to collect intel and research
  2. Meeting recording summarisation
  3. Drafting cold emails
  4. Workflows for alerts, content creation and document reading

Thatโ€™s a solid tweet. The story behind automation/AI/ML is that itโ€™s all designed to take the tedious, repetitive tasks.

And here much of it is, creating โ€œartโ€ and โ€œwritingโ€. Your use cases mirror mine - taking up things that would otherwise take me time.

I have found that I retain more information if Iโ€™ve had to go through the process of finding and summarizing things myself. However, I donโ€™t often have the luxury of that time.

So many shit takes on AI out there, this is actually a good one.

I use AI for summarization, as well as some re-writing that I then re-write myself lol

Yeah, I can't stand AI's passive voice. But, it's a good way to get unstuck. I do love some good recaps, too. Anything that removes the boring parts of the job is appreciated.

This tweet actually makes you think. A good one!

I like AI but it's still not where I would want it to be you know? A lot of human intervention is still needed. I'd want it to operate with minimal errors. Now it can be for cold emailing, LI automation, or any other day to day tasks.

I'd love an AI planner for my life though. To help me get better as an individual and not just for the job.

AI is a very powerful tool, but just like SB31, I prefer as well as enjoy the gratification that comes with conducting the research and gaining the experience behind all that that process has to offer.

Our brains are just as, if not more powerful as any AI tool out in the market. What AI does is create convenience that allows us the time to explore ideas that we normally would not have time explore.

The only reason AI has the ability to do what it does, is because it was created by humans, who already generated centuries of information that allows the AI's algorithms to create content that we except as being true.

Here is a question: Will AI in its full capacity because of our imperfection make us fully reliant on it?

The verdict is obviously still out, but for me I'm going with a 80/20 split. That's 80% brain power and 20% AI.

Don't take my head off for this late rambling, just some thoughts. All the best.

I love my AI tools for meeting note taking and formatting my casual or non HR compliance messages into the professional format I left behind at the graduate language art classes.
I can still live the bullet point life (older I get the more I hate small talk and more I realize how important it is to EVERY deal) and be engaged in meetings without worrying about missing anything.

Have you tried Firmograph for collecting intel and research? They provide company and persona reports right from your browser. https://firmograph.ai/

I find it confusing when you have SDR's or AE's selling an AI product that helps businesses scale without the need of SDRs or AE's. Surely that's catch-22? If they are reaaaalllly good at what they do and sell it to every company that could buy it, they are out of a job? But also, if it replaces SDRs and AEs, why do they have SDRs and AEs selling it, surely that company could be using the AI tool? It's a confusing world.
