This ^ Itโs almost like your selling yourself to the gatekeeper and if you make them feel important your odds are much better

Itโs important to either build rapport with the GK or build their confidence to help you get in touch. I donโt have a specific script necessarily but those are two things I go for.
My favourites are: "It's about my wife / the test results".
It's basically a "pattern interrupt" - think of the last thing you would expect someone to call about, make it as personal as possible, but you better have a good "explanation" if you get through to the decision maker, because otherwise you just started off by lying to them.
