When do you call it quits

So I have been in a sales role for one of the larger companies in the country for about 3 years now.

My company is notoriously known for awful commission plans for their reps. Its been 3 years now and I have grown a real solid book of business, but I feel like there is more money out there.

When do you ditch the book you've invested 3 years into for a new company where you will start from scratch?

The way I decide is if I am no longer doing 2 of the 3 below:
- Learning/growing professionally
- making good money
- enjoying the culture/coworkers

As long as I am doing at least 2 out of the 3, I will stay.

What industry are you in and if you don't mind sharing, OTE? But outside of money, like Meech said, do you like the people you work with? Manager a good guy/girl? Are you challenged? There are places you can make 600k-1m, but that comes with a set of expectations and pressure. Really depends what you want out of the role. Some people catch lightning in a bottle and get the best of both worlds.

I had similar apprehensions. If you decide to make the switch, Just know that you would not be starting from scratch. Your experience would give you a head start in some way or the other.

When ever I'm no longer happy. If i get up and I don't want to go to work for a week straight, that's an indicator something is not right. As long as I'm enjoying and loving what i'm doing I'll stay!
