When is it appropriate to start seeking new opportunities?

Company I recently started working at turned out to be a bit of a dumpster fire. Nearly everything I was told during interviews and onboarding turned out to be so embellished it was tantamount to a lie.

I've been here for just about 4 months and really want to go somewhere else but how bad does it look to potential employers that I decided to leave so quickly?

I think the “safe” tenure is 6 months just from what I’ve heard over and over. Keep in mind, your sanity is more important. If the time is now, no one can tell you any different.

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
Nope, doesn't matter. Nobody gives a fuck anymore. Start looking. "I don't like to be overly critical but there was a wide disconnect between what was expressed and what reality was."

Always looking for new ops. There shouldn't be a place where you work that you're miserable.

Yeah I usually try to give a company 6 months before deciding to dip out but the thought of another 2 months is hard to swallow
