When is it time to start looking elsewhere

Sales is always a grind and it's certainly a roller coaster but my ask is what are some leading indicators that it is time to go?

  • pipeline drying up?
  • Management not being realisitic?
  • No AE hitting quota

These are usually tell tale signs but what are the forums thoughts on other reasons to leave.

Probably all of the above, but also (and most importantly) when the culture doesn't jive with what's important to you. Has it stopped being exciting, is it no longer about what it was when you got hired, etc.

- You've maxed out earning potential and want to make more/the earning potential you need is not there.

- Bad management

- Bad culture

- You don't believe in the product

- The bad days outweigh the good

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
I'm of the opinion that you should always be keeping an eye on the market. We all hit points of burnout eventually. For me, it's when the bullshit pile just gets too high. But more than anything, I think @AinslieStreet nailed it and I would give that savage +5 if i could. It's a feeling more than anything else.

You don't like to sell for the company, sales can be a slog so if you don't want to do it for them anymore it's going to be hard to maintain performance.
