When should I Cold Call?

I've heard many people say that the best ( and some even say ONLY) time to cold call is from 8:30 am to 10:00 am and 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

I've been told that these time slots are the best because that's when your prospects are least likely to be in a meeting.

What do you guys think? because I'm really struggling to get connects when I cold call, It feels like people are ALWAYS in a meeting

Right before lunch (11:30-12) was one of my favorite times to blitz people, followed by 4-5 pm. People are most likely out of meetings and ready to go to lunch (back when we went outside) or are preparing to wind down the day.

Will deff do more calls during that 30 minute window.

I learned to not overthink time of day. I'll save those special times for when I have high-priority people, but overall just call whenever you can.

I always try to call at the end of a full hour. Like 11.45 or 15.50. Just hoping the ended the meeting early and have some spare time.

Call now, not later.

Or, using time blocks and sticking to them works wonders.

Could also hire someone to beat you until you make X number of calls. Fear breeds honesty.

Give this a shot, I would love to know what your results were. Just saw Shawn Seese post this.

START

You: Hi, this is {your first name} from {your company name}. You're not expecting my call. This is the first time I've tried to reach you. Do you mind if I take half a minute and I'll share what I'm up to today?

Prospect: Sure.

You: The purpose of my call today is to get some time on your calendar to introduce myself and my company. I know we're all just returning from the Holidays and settling back in, would Tuesday at 3pm work for you?

Prospect: "Wait, you haven't even told me what you do..."

You: Thanks for asking. I would have fallen off my chair if you reached for your calendar... Let me ask you, have your heard of my company {your company name}? Seen us on a billboard or bus? Are you familiar with us at all?

END

Basically what I am saying is, if you are getting the brush off and not getting past it, just go with it or try going through it. When it comes to objections, everyone wants to get through them, but that's a tough gig. Try going with the objection instead.

EX: I don't sleep with anyone on the first date.

RE:  I don't know anyone by that name. So neither do I.

EX: I am about to hit a meeting.

RE: I got one too, but I called because of X and its relevancy to your company based on X. We are both super busy. Can we connect tomorrow at 10?

EX: We already have a solution for that.

RE: If they aren't specific, call the next person in line to tell you about that solution.
