When to ask for referrals (SaaS)

There’s a lot of debate over when to ask for referrals, and your manager will tell you to always ask on every call. But let’s be real, when do you ask for referrals in SaaS? For me, it typically is at the end of the sales cycle, or post implementation when I get the biggest wins.

The moment I receive the PO or if we are negotiating pricing. If they want a steeper discount I usually make it contingent on them introducing me to another team
