where are the bodies burried?

As someone getting back into the job-search market after 7 years, I'm struggling to understand 'what is behind the curtain'? Every job seems cool and interesting and a sure-bet.

But how do I find out where the bodies are buried?

Any good questions or advice y'all have?

most ppl here like RepVue to get a sense of quota attainment. i think a simple google search is helpful. Have these companies made the news for anything crazy good or crazy bad?
i would look at Glass door reviews, but take those with a grain of salt. I would ignore the ones that are overly negative and focus on the ones that have good and bad thigns to say. look at those negative things and look into it more.
I would also think about what YOU want in a career and in a company and have questions ready to go that can highlight those things.

In addition to Glass Door and RepVue, talk to some current and past reps.

RepVue, Glassdoor, reach out to current and past employees, and do more research about company stats, whose funding, CEO, etc.

If everything seems good then dig even deeper, that's where the bones are buried. Just beneath the pot of gold.
