Where do you take customers out?

Back in my inside sales days, I had a few field visits prior to the Rona. Standard lunch/dinner meetings or in the office.

Now that I am fully in the field and things are opening up where I am, in person meetings are getting closer.

Where do you take your clients? I play golf so that is an immediate thought outside of standard lunch meetings but it all depends.

Open to suggestions and advice on in person meetings!

Sporting event is good. A few companies I have worked for had suites at different stadiums. Always was a good time, and prospects seemed to have fun.

But the answer to your question really depends on your goal of the meeting. Building rapport, tough convo, etc.

Environment really sways the direction that the convo can go

All of the above - I go where the prospect leads. Want to go to a game? Sweet. Want to go golfing? Absolutely. Want to sit in a cold stuffy office for an hour? Fine.

I’ve never been a golfer so maybe I’m missing something, but playing something competitive and being stuck with someone for several hours would not bode well for business relations for me.

you can see true character playing golf. Plus, you are not technically playing against the other golfers, its you vs the course.

Definitely more of a niche activity but to beachNsales point, it would never be against the client. Only a fun activity to get out and speak when them about anything for 3-4 hours

Lunch and dinner is a safer bet, in my opinion.

Golf is, and excuse the pun here, but and miss. If you have the round of your life and client sucks or vice versa it can create an odd energy.

Lunch and dinner is a safer bet, in my opinion.

A few of my favorites outside of traditional lunch/dinner - sporting event with brunch before, sporting clay shoot, hiking (I knew my prospect was particularly outdoorsy), hosted a poker game/negotiation training
