Depends on your target market and buyer persona. Also depends on your selling style. Territory 2 sounds like a hawt fuckin mess though.

Haha Thanks, @iworkinchonies! Atlanta sounds great, but Texas all around has a lot of cash and plenty of big business. Only could grow with the emergence of Austin. Plus, I agree territory 2 is all over the place....

I've had some success with Miami. Prospects are a lot more laid back but are curious to learn.

I’ve heard Florida is really solid. What’s your take on having Texas vs. Florida?

I have no idea - I’m curious as well hahaha apparently it’s some algorithm they use which I believe. Just looks like a bucket of L’s to me

Because you didn't mention, I'm assuming this is for Enterprise.

I can tell you that Texas is absurd as far as K-12 is concerned. They just have ridiculous laws and procedures that make everything difficult.

Most K-12 orgs that know what they're doing, if they assign territory by state, give the Texas rep only Texas or maybe one other neighboring state i.e. New Mexico max. I shudder to think of the nightmare it would be for K-12 to have Texas plus like 3-4 other states.

Hi! Thanks for your guidance with K-12. That’s helpful. I did mention I’m segmented by headcount 200-4000 employees. Does that change anything?

Sure thing. Honestly my comment is probably entirely irrelevant unless you do actually work in K-12. Texas is doable for K-12 and there’s a lot of opportunity there, it’s just not something you’d want to add a bunch of states into.

My old territory were the more southern states (TX, LA, MO etc) and now I sell into New England. The regulatory laws are way more lax down south and it was much easier to hit quota.
