Which Linkedin Sales guru do you follow and like?

For me it's Benjamin Dennehy. Love his candor and style. Conversely, I die inside a little bit every time I see Grant Cardone post. He is everything people hate about sales reps.

Big fan of what Jeremey Donovan from SalesLoft posts, specifically when he gives actual statistical proof to what he's saying.

For example, a post like this:  https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jeremeydonovan_hey-salespeople-which-function-is-most-likely-activity-6779756163148894208-zxIb

Or this one:  https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jeremeydonovan_hey-salespeople-sdr-managers-promoted-from-activity-6759462025455288321-Ndyz

+1 on Jeremy Donovan. Anyone that is at the forefront of Sales Development. The guys at Outreach, Gong, Drift, and Chili Piper put out killer content as well.

Came here to say Jeremey Donovan. I actually sold to him and his CRO at the time. Salesloft in general has a ton of bright people there.

Kevin "KD" Dorsey is my guy. He has amazing insights and then further explains how to implement those insights into actions.

Plus he's very good with replying to comments so if you have a genuine question, you'll get to have a conversation with him.

Same goes with DM's. When I first started leading a team I messaged him with questions, updates, and he was supportive the whole way through.

It is hard to believe he was a high-performer given his brief tenure at 5-6 companies. Nevertheless, I do agree that he provides some unique and thought-provoking content.

I'll disagree with your disagree...you're not going to get any huge insight out of him but he's funny in a "shit, my manager just said that" way that makes you feel like you're not the only one dealing with blowhards internally half the day in a sales rep job

Kyle Coleman from Clari is really good. Great resources for new cold email templates and a huge SDR advocate/defender.

+1 on Kyle. A lot of the influencers don't practice what they preach. That guy took a month replying to 100% of cold emails he got to give feedback.

Am I the only one who get very suspicious when I look at these so called sales gurus and I see that they have never held a real sales job in their career, or the last one they had was like 20 years ago?

I mean it is pretty easy to be a sales guru on a theoretical level, but it is a very different thing to be one day to day in practice.

It seems like all Josh Braun does is regurgitate Chris Voss learnings (who is fantastic). Also, he seems to relates everything to marathon training and gutter installation which is not helpful in a complex B2B sale.

Jason Lemkin and Simon Sinek [though Simon is more of a life-guy] - both are interesting and almost everything I've read from either has left me with some knowledge.  I also really like Kelsey Hightower though he is not at all sales more tech
