Garmin Fenix 5. live in the mountains so its much better suited for my situation.
What's different about them?
suited for the outdoors. way better GPS, so i will never lose signal, even in the mountains. just very accurate readings and route planning. too many people get lost out here and get themselves in trouble, so this mitigates alot of those risks

I agree about Apple Watch - my favorite part is the ease of use with iPhone and integration with other Apple products. If you already are an iPhone user, the Apple Watch makes a lot of sense.

I had it and couldn't get away from all the notifications. Drove me nuts
I have all of my notifications turned off
My apple watch's face was pulled off due to a leather car seat. Was sitting with my hand behind my head (the face against the head rest) for 20 or so minutes as the passenger in a car. When I pulled my hand away it cracked all around the face and pulled it off completely. Things are garbage

my apple watch got knocked off last week getting my daughter out of the car....smash goes the face...totally cracked...now looking at garmins, for fitness tracking
Did you get Applecare? Wondering if they would have fixed it or replaced it if it was under warrenty?

I have a timex Ironman smart watch. Not too much different from a fitbit, but a little lighter. Does everything I need it to.
That's interesting. Didn't even think that Timex made a smart watch

I used to love my apple watch, but it cracked and it erked me so hard so I traded it to my sister
My touch screen just randomly stopped working. Everything else works fine. But now its just a normal watch
Apple Watch is the go-to, however, I am starting to get more interested in Garmin watches now that I spend more time hiking/mountain biking than I used to.

Garmin's app store has a few more sport-specific apps than Apple, along with a longer battery life and GPS features that I would like for my usecase.

Smart watches are plenty I think Fossil is slick. Fitbit is usually more for the workouts and everything i but ylthe charge series but when it comes to watches fossil
I like the fossil design too but have no idea about their OS
It's a hybrid depending on the model, there is analog and thr smart with step cointer etc

Ah man, i can't i saw in on a friend's wrist 2 years back and it was the reason why I liked it because it was connected to the phone app or health app giving him insights while looking like a regular watch

Apple Watch but that is only because I got given one through work for hitting quota. I do rate it

Just upgraded to the new Apple Watch - and even with notifications off, the battery doesn't seem to last as long as the Garmin or the Fitbit I have.
Notifications aren't a huge priority to me - I like to see when I get stuff, but I don't want to respond/etc. via my watch.
I honestly kind of wish I had spent the money on a higher level Fitbit, as I use mine mostly for fitness/sleep tracking/etc.

Yeah, being an ex-apple watch user. I don't think I'll go for another one unless they make it really good. So many better options out there
I have an Apple Watch but friends of mine who are into cycling and hiking etc use Garmin
Been getting a lot of good inputs about Garmin
MI - reasonably priced, functional, lasting battery.
Absolutely. It's most affordable
