Who has a virtual phone number that links to their cell so they don't have to give out their personal number?

For those of us in the War Room that don't have (or need) a company phone, are any of you using a virtual number that connects to your cell phone to keep your personal number out of your email signatures?

Sites like ZoomInfo (at least have in the past) mined email signatures to add additional methods of contact to their databases. Having used it, and similar, I've found value in being able to reach prospects on their mobile. That being said, I don't necessarily want my personal number (that I've had for 15 years and will continue to use) floating around out there.

I know Skype has something like this, but definitely looking to leverage the breadth of experience everyone brings to the table here! Especially as more and more of us have had to use our personal devices to WFH.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, Outreach connects my work phone to my cell instead of giving my direct line.

I remember this years ago. Not sure if it's available in Canada but definitely checking it out.

+1 to Google Voice.  I have a number of gmail accounts, so each one is eligible for a different GV number.  You also get to pick area code, so accordingly, I have several.  There are 2 ios apps that I use so I can dial directly from w/i those apps. They haven't gotten much use since I'm not full-cycle anymore, but they sure are handy for the use case you describe.

Thanks for the input, turns out Google Voice isn't available in Canada for some reason. I think it might be for corporations using GSuite, but we're a Microsoft shop.

I've used Google Voice and I liked it. OpenPhone is also a good platform for online phone number plus they have a nice app for mobile

Thanks@Chief, adding it to my list.

Almost pulled the trigger on DialPad just now but they have a 20% hidden 'compliance fee' that seems very odd and should be built into the price..

Interesting.. I just use my real phone. I text a lot with customers - would that work on an obscured number?

Haven’t found the right service that’s available in Canada and not usury, but SMS-ability seems to be pretty standard. Some have cost, some don’t, for North America, but they all seem to charge for international text.
