No marketing, mayo isn't an MQL
Experienced that pain recently as well.ย

For them just like prospecting it's a number game and once someones has been ruled out they just tend not to care. Especially if they're an external recruiter.ย

Not saying it's right but they're out there chasing that bag and it gets in the way of being decent sometimes.ย

You'll get there Savage, keep that headupย

Theyโ€™re often posting the BDR Manager role due to corporate requirements but fully intend to promote from within, therefore the outside candidates are not taken seriously.

I think its 80/20 and you just happen to be dealing with someone in the 10% of recruiters that really blow.ย  Most of which sit in the middle 80% (just like sales).ย  There are a LOT of terrible sales reps out there my friend :)ย

Same question hereโ€”I'm not looking, but recruiters have reached out to me. I entertain the idea sometimes (hey if the right opp comes about..) and then THEY ghost. And I can see the positions are still open. Not sure what goes on in the recruiting world.ย

Are random, unsolicited, cringe LinkedIn InMails a KPI for recruiters? Gotta be.ย

"You hit accelerators for every sales rep you ghost after an interview. For every email or inmail you ignore after the first call you get a $5 Starbucks gift card" - how I assume recruiter's comps are structured

It's commission, also their targets. They get ya the interview n that's the job done. MY experience anyway. Similar to estate agents!

Find a way to separate yourself from every other resume. Compliment their help after the first call and ask for their leaders email to share your awesome experience, etc. Go out of your way to start and they are more likely to reciprocate. Worst case, you will make it known that you like to publicize your experience and they wonโ€™t want that to become a negative review

I feel they the internal rec. have a lot of power and influence as the companies often blindly trust their "advice".. so there's no accountablity .. my 2 cents.. Curious what others feel about this....
