Wildest Company Perk

I want to know who works for the company with the most unique or wildly generous perks / benefits.

What's yours?

I get just over $11,000 per year in expensible perks. From home office, to int/phone, to personal travel and a joy budget (yep, no rules anything that helps me feel joy).

Let's see what else is out there.

I'm getting jipped here. I have access to a discount portal that sucks hahah the paid paternity leave is cool though for when we plan to have another kid.

I had a discount portal a few years ago, wasn't great lol.

Also, paternity (and maternity) leave should be a thing everywhere. I don't understand the US...

Well, I was a regional manager for a very large chinese restaurant chain.... they promoted work/life balance, but also asked us to work close to 70 hours a week.. made a lot of sense lmao. So taking more than 2 weeks off, they made us go on Leave of Absence so that they didn't have to pay payroll taxes.

I took 2 weeks off for both of my boys and that definitely wasn't enough. I found out that paid paternity was a thing after I got hired at my current job. Such a blessing.

me too. 3 months for paternity leave is a total game changer. I had 0 for our first kid, 1 month for our second, and hopefully if we have another, 3 months.

I've worked from home for over 15 years, so there has always been the $100 a month for home internet and expense your cell phone bill. Panasonic gave me a company car, which was amazing. The car was nice - brand new VW Passat with every option, I just had to pick the color, and i was delivered to a local dealership about three weeks later. The best part was that it wasn't limited to work use, it was just my car. I had a corporate gas card with no limit, no mileage tracking, they pay insurance and repairs, and I could exoense full cleaning once every seven days. If you hit 60k miles, you just emailed the fleet manager, and he would send you a link to order a new one. When I left the company, my car was about 10 months old with 15k miles, blue book about $24k. They let let me buy it out and keep it for $12k.

In both current and previous roles I've been able to shoot guns, travel the world, stay in 5-star hotels, drink on the flight deck of a nuclear aircraft carrier, dine in Michelin-star restaurants and meet royalty.

I'd say they were all perks, but they were not something expected and more just seizing opportunities.

But just straight up 11k every year for anything?? WOOOOOOOW. THAT is a benefit for SURE.

Have a "cry room" at work that is just a more secluded area on the sales floor that people can go in and relax and zone out for a bit also a slide that no one uses at all. Also some snacks and stuff that gets replenished on the week.

Not a perk of mine but my mom was pretty high up at a large company and got to fly PJs all over the world. Got to tag along a few times and that was pretty sweet.

The best I've got right now is reimbursement for books. To be fair I'm fully remote and we have a STRONG tech stack so I'm pretty happy with my situation.

Lots of perks with my previous employer, but I didn't take advantage of all of them every year.

Currently, expensing internet, could buy furniture and a new monitor if I want, and that's about it, but I'm ok with that.

Was hired for remote outside sales and given a brand new off the line company car and gas card but COVID caused everyone to be 'inside sales'. This lasted two years but we kept the cars and gas cards the whole time because nobody knew when it would end. Cars were allowed for personal use and spouse/partners were allowed to drive too. Sold my own car because I didn't need it regardless, and we never drove wife's car because of the free gas.

Joke's on me though. New job doesn't come with a car so I forked over cash to buy a new one.

All of these comments are making me think I need to find a new job with better perks! I am going to a personal development conference next week for my coaching side hussle and my company paid for my entrance ticket (slightly ironic since end goal is to quit to be a FT coach someday but hey they support my dreams so I've got that going for me!)

And we all went to Cabo for our Christmas party last year. They also pay 100% of our healthcare which is a nice perk also, but should be the norm in my opinion

I get a. $1000 stipend every year for travel which is to encourage us to use our "discretionary time off." I don't work in the office, but the people who do get catered lunch 3 times a week. To make up for that, I do have a company card and I'm allowed to buy breakfast, lunch & dinner on it when I'm on the road (3x a week).
