Win wire for SDRs?

Last week I had a total of 5 meetings programed, that I had scheduled throughout the month. 4/5 showed up, 3/5 asked for another meeting at the start of July; 2 of which were on Friday and were super qualified. I got praised by my AE and even discovered a new region that could be part of our ICP (ideal customer profile).

I was super excited and emailed my manager suggesting the addition of the region, explaining why it was a good fit and wanted to share with the war room, went for the win wire and noticed I couldn't technically place this win there. I didn't make a sale, I set several appointments which wanted to learn more and it's now up to my AE to make the sale, but for me that's a "sale" it's as far as I can go on the closing process. Which let me to wonder would it make sense to have an option where Team leads and SDRs can share those appointments that are super qualified and will results in sales for the AE?

That's for sure, every org has it's type of deals as well.

I just, didn't know how to structure the amount of the deal, thought about using are typical deal size and then I thought maybe this post could shine it more light and see what the rest of the community thought.

Looks like it is coming some time in the future. This is from the launch thread:

"What if I don’t close deals in my role (e.g. SDR)?
The Bravado Team is expanding the feature for all sales roles. You set up a kickass qualified meeting? Don’t worry, you will be celebrated. In the meantime, enjoy reading some deal stories from your AE friends."

You didn’t win anything, no offense. You did your job. Yes you did your job well but take your pat on the head from the AE and do it again…and again, and again.

Sounds like someone went straight into management without ever being an SDR... Love it when that happens....

It's important to go thought all the roles when going up, so you understand the pains of the people you manage and give them tips based on your experience.

Sounds like someone is wrong and or been an SDR a little too long…

I've been an SDR for less than 6 months, and I don't see my job as an SDR I see it as training to become a new manager, it's gotten me to team lead so far! I've been tracking all my progress and every win, and competing against myself to become better and better. It's a healthy mindset for me.

I disagree, an appointment is a win for SDRs, it's the biggest KPI we are measured by and as far in the sales process as we can get. It might not be a win for the company but it is for the SDR

Couldn't the same be said about AEs? Great you closed a deal... isn't that your job?

Not tipically, since they are from another company and don't share that info

No.  Appointments set is a good metric for SDRs but it's not a win.  Revenue booked is the metric for any organization; wins.  Appointments booked are completions, first downs, sacks, interceptions... not wins.

I disagree, Appointments are wins for 2 mayor reasons, it tells you the SDR understands the product and knows his/her way around the call. Second it's usually as far as a SDR goes, there are rarely full circle SDRs, so for them an appointment is a "sale", in reality it's there ultimate goal, and usually the most measured KPI.

I get it.  I've been there.  Everyone has to start somewhere.  For SDRs... it's marketing.

Of course, It might not be big for the company, but it's big for the SDR's that's how they start growing!

It's not a trophy, but it is a win, it means you are doing a good job, the point of an SDR is to set appointments, so when he or she does he is succeeding on the role
