It has been quite a pivotal year for sales(pun intended).
Seems like selling wireless networking gear is a constant pivot. Work From Home to Work From Anywhere to LTE to 5G. Constant training around where the opportunities are lead to less time for training on the technology and when it will work.
Bringing this up as working for a company to provide this flexibility has left me thinking... Why not practice what I preach and take my office on the road. See the sites, sell from the ocean, mountain or lonely truck stop... but being a regionally based sales professional has me sitting on my hands in NYC waiting for a customer to be “ready to meet”..... and waiting.... and waiting.
What can one do?
