Work Phone

Do you use your personal #? Do you have a work # routed to your cell or maybe through an app?

Secondly, do you use a headset, headphones, AirPods, straight-up cell phone, or wired office phone?

We use RingCentral, so I get work calls via their app on my cell as well as on my desk phone in the office. While WFH, I invested in AirPods for calling, and absolutely loved them. But now that I'm back in the office, I almost only use the desk phone again. Not really sure why I switched back but oh well.

Headsets are for closers, and so are airpods. I switch back and forth just to flex on people

"Hey sorry, my Bose headset wasn't working, let me try my Beats by Dre real quick. They're under my Gucci gym bag so this will just take a second."

We just started using RingCentral, I don't love it right now...there's audio lag on calls and it pisses me off. We're looking into it so hopefully they fix it before they take the old system away.

I use a headset and have a work phone line. I've used my cell when working from home, but like you said with RingCentral, I can now use my work line off any device so I'll start doing that. I don't really want prospects having my personal line.

Ring Central killed me for 2 years, and it slowly got better. There's hope, my friend.

I dunno if I can do two years of having to repeat my name three times because it sounds like I'm seventeen planets away...

Ours lagged when we first got it but they had tech work on it after like a week and it's been 100% fine since then (last October).

It is clutch having it accessible on the cell.

My favorite is when audio from some app I forgot to close before I made a call starts playing and we can hear it on the phone line. Totally not an NSA spook, I swear.

Cell phone and headphones (Bose or Jabra). I also have a landline at the house I use for business calls since it's a local number.

Damn, a landline at home, you are one of the few remaining true OGs.ย

I feel the cell phone-headphones setup is the overall favorite, and mine too, I'm just now re-stuck in my ways on the desk phone.

Started off with the headset, it kept connecting to other peoples calls which was confusing. Asked for a work phone, never been better.ย

That's weird - sounds like some shotty tech. Like a work cell?
