Does anyone know how selling at Workday or in the HR Tech space would be? I don't know many colleagues selling In this space, but I feel like it would be pretty tough. Appreciate the input!

I do indeed, but not as an HRIS provider. It’s tough, no doubt @SilkySlim because you’re dealing with ripping and replacing the most sensitive systems of an org. It’s “easier” when you’re dealing with a startup who has gotten by on spreadsheets, but imaging suggesting voluntary brain transplants to patients who have perfectly good working brains and the new one MIGHT work better or the same or worse.
From what I can tell a big focus for WD isn’t HRIS anymore, it’s financial software that helps support the CFO/finance team.
I feel like every company is already on workday at this point. Or too small to be able to afford it. I could be totally wrong though it's not a market I'm familiar with.
Supersaturated market - many HRIS companies have unattainable OTE, boiler room mentality, high turnover, and immature management. Workday is probably a better one to work for than others bc they provide so many custom options. Didn’t work there but worked in the space and hated it.
This is a good space to be if you’re at the right company. I’ve been in the space for 3 years and WOULD NOT want to be working at one of the legacy incumbents.
Working in HCM is a good stepping stone into other SaaS sales jobs.

HR is VERY trend focused - they jump on the bandwagon at every opportunity… lucky for you if you’re on the right wagon.
HR is always saying “how do we get a seat at the table?!” - which doesn’t help when selling into it..

Workday comes under Salesforce, so can't be good. I got a call the other day from Keka that they're hiring. Is Keka HRTech?
