Working from home [Poll]

I've been in and out of the office for the last year and I want to know how everyone else feels about it. There are many benefits of being in the office from camaraderie to advice. Working from home is much different but also offers space where you can be free.

I think both have their benefits and downfalls for someone in sales, which do you prefer?

Do you prefer to be in the office or at your home/workspace?

You might soon! It will most undoubtedly become an option within every company moving forward if they want to retain their top employees who might be more interested in remote work. It's only a matter of time until the widespread adoption. Remember, patience is a virtue. For now we just have to sit and wait while companies like Salesforce lead the charge for the WFH rebellion!ย

Like you said, they both have their own pros. Iโ€™ve rallied the team to do 2 days in the office and 3 wfh. That way youโ€™re getting the most out of both worlds

I have been remote for about 2 years prior to covid.ย  At first I had to get used to it and eventually did.ย  I would still go into an office every couple of months and found it impossible to be productive there now that I was comfortable being remote.ย  I think if I ever had to go back to a office setting it would take a couple of months to adjust, however, I definitely miss interactions.

I think the best thing about being remote especially in the world of sales is your days are not as long, I can get just as much done in 5 hours of productive work than a full day in the office.

I will say, I want things to go back to normal because I love traveling to a client for on-site face to face meetings.ย  I feel like this new virtual world slows down the sales cycle and causes more meetings when it the past 1 onsite face to face meeting could move you just as far along in the cycle as 3 zoom meetings.

Absolutely a mixture for me and the flexibility to change as and when.ย

As someone who has a team/dept, I prefer a mixture of something like Mon & Fri from home and Tue-Thurs in the office.ย

I like being able to work remote if I choose to for the given day, week etc.... but there isn't anything like feeling the energy of the office either.ย

This is my 8th year working remotely... I cannot imagine a situation where I'm going back to an office. I am, however, ready for the kids to get back in school full time so I can get some P&Q.ย  ย

Hybrid is ideal to me. Although WFH is great. We're social creatures at the end of the day especially being in sales. 2/5 days in office would be ideal.

Monday and Friday would probably be best as Monday is important for internal meetings/setting up your week. Fridays are for grabbing drinks after work with your colleagues to celebrate the end of a week, month, quarter, year, etc.

Truly understand your products and offerings. Go from saying enough to book the meeting etc, to being able to add a value prop and possible next steps. Deep understanding of the product has never held anyone back.
