Working out during lunch?

Do you guys like to break a sweat during the workday, or would the thought of leaving your post make you sweat enough? Definitely some weird anxiety to not being at your computer during WFH.

Must do for me, 4 days a week. Was actually easier while in the office than at home, but yes. I love sweating out to reset at lunch. I feel bad for the people that cant cause it takes them XX minutes to redo their look. Im a shower and go back kind of person

Cool, same. Used to have a sweet gym with steam room in the office. But now I make time for the drive to gym. Keeps my mind sharp.ย

100% Necessary, eat your lunch at your desk and use your lunch break for a quick pump!

Right? Never understood people getting up from sitting at their desk all day just to sit at a picnic table lol

I try to go run errands on lunch so I physically move. When I was on the road I ran every morning at 5:30. I was great at it. Since I've been grounded this last year I'm not near as consistent.ย

I love to get away for a bit during the work day. Working out is great for that. I live on a golf course so most of the time I hit the driving range or golf the 7th hole a few times if its a slow day. helps break up the day and my productivity goes up this way.ย

Thats the dream right there. Used to tend bar at a CC just for the free golf during college. Best work-perk of all time.

If you ever have the chance to live on a golf course, I highly recommend it, as long as the course patrol isn't too gung ho.ย

You need to do something that gets you out of that computer locked to your leg. That is not healthy. If it's working out, great. If it's a game of FIFA, great. But you can't be scared to dash away from the laptop.

One of my college roommates got so much better than me at NHL that it took me years to come back. But yes, good series.

Lol my old college roommate was top 10 in the world at one point. Safe to say I got some good training, safe to say he also had no life.

In the morning or after work. I like to do some meditating at lunch. I donโ€™t have enough time to get a solid workout in. Maybe a light yoga session if anything.ย

I prefer morning but if I can squeeze it in lunch or find walking time would be a win.

Rower is one of the swaggiest in-home equipment imo. Throw it on the deck on a sunny day. Full body and cardio.

I do it occasionally, but depends what I do. Gym takes a long time. So it needs to be a quiet day.ย
Short run or zoom workout? Easier.

I'm doing mostly mornings now

I used to be an evening guy.. but then I moved to mornings so I could get it over with and socialise more at night (or work later).

Having a routine helps. Also now they are mostly pre-booked classes with cancellation fees, which helps :p
I found with 100% WFH otherwise I stay up late and get going too slowly in the mornings.

When gyms were shut I never did mornings...

But do whatever works for you!

This has been the best part of WFH for me! If I'm going to really workout, I'll need to wash and dry my hair before I'm around people, which is a process. With WFH, I can leave it wet or dry shampoo it and wash it late with nobody being the wiser. It's been great! Big fan of the lunchtime workout now that I'm in the habit.ย

If I am WFH then I enjoy going during my lunch break because I do not have to rush back to the office and can take my time however, if I am in the office I never have enough time to take a gym break and then I end up getting sweaty and will have to change and it never works, I always feel too rushed.ย

I am very Picky about my workouts. Specifically because I played sports my whole life and college athletics. recently because I have been working so much I have been doing my workouts early in the morning before work or right after work. On my days off I chose to take my hard workouts and do them during the mid day. Since I'm not playing sports anymore I feel obligated to keep my body active. That does mean workout everyday, but also understanding that my standards are the same as they were when I was an athlete so as long as I am being active and doing some type of workout anytime of the day no matter the intensity I am beating 50% of the world population!
