Worst Qualified Meeting You Ever Had?

What was the worst meeting you ever moved to Stage 2 / Flipped / Qualified for your SDR/BDR?

SDR/BDRs: what was the shittiest meeting you ever tried to get an AE to take?

I'll start - as an SDR, one time I set up my AE up for a call with an IT Director. Turned out she'd left the company a year ago and didn't update her LinkedIn. He flipped it for me anyway.

Can I lump the first 6-months of meetings from my first BDR job together? They were all shit.

I booked in a large Australian/Irish international electronics company, the whole team was buzzing on it as it was a big deal...the guy wanted to know what we do for his own personal project and not for the company but just never told me...

one of my SDRs booked me a super “qualified meeting.” We typically conduct our calls via zoom but this prospect told my SDR that he was too busy to sit down and take a call via zoom and to call him, so whatever, I’ll bite. I give him a call and he’s driving, takes 2 calls during our call (I guess he had 2 phones) and finally tells me that the reason he answered my SDR back was bc she sounded cute VIA EMAIL and figured this would be an interesting convo. 🤦🏻‍♀️

When I was first an SDR, I booked a terribly qualified lead. Which happened to be a director about a week away from retirement, who I'm pretty sure just wanted to waste company time.

Still, they flipped it for me

My territory was Belgium and the Netherlands. Our LQS teams send me a guy that had a company with their HQ in Japan. Missed it by... that much

I work in travel. Arranged a lunch meeting in Santa Barbara and the prospect asked me to first meet at their home. When I showed up, he had his Bentley pulled up out front and just said "get in". He was an older gentleman who was obviously financially qualified, but he just couldn't understand the value prop (he was older). We spent the whole lunch going in circles and they ended up getting frustrated. Maybe it was me? But i've been doing this for a decade now... SUCKED
