Would you work for a company that uses Teams over Slack?

I couldn’t imagine working for a company that doesn’t use Slack, but I know there are a lot of companies out that that use team (since it’s ‘free’). Thoughts on slack vs teams?

Thoughts?

I wouldn’t pick a company based on this, but Slack is way better than Teams

Exactly. This is hardly a metric to know how the company is. Honestly if you use any product enough, you'll get used to it. Although slack is better, I hope you aren't making job decisions based on what tools companies use

We use Teams and it is behind big time. Even Skype for Business was better.

Having moved to a company that uses Teams, it sucks. Slack is far and away much better

Well we used to use office messenger before that so it might just be the fact that its a step up. The only thing I don't like about teams is you can't delete all threads. You have to go 1 by 1 and hide them.

Choosing a firm basis this ain't my choice. Having used both, slack is way better

To choose a company based on something so minor would be silly. IMO.

I prefer slack over teams but I wouldn’t not work for a company if they didn’t use slack 😂

Slack 100%. I know a lot of people here are saying they wouldn't judge a company based on which one they use. I differ. If a company is using teams it would make me question if they have money for other tools etc. Slack vs Teams may not be life changing but I don't want to work at a company that won't provide me with the tools I need to do my job

my thoughts exactly. I think the software that companies invest in for their employees says a lot about the company in terms of how they support getting their work done and meeting rev goals

for me, it's also a question if they use G Suite or Outlook, Mac or Windows, Slack or Teams. this might sound stupid but I'd want to work with a modern tech stack and where I actually enjoy using the tech they have. few companies understand this!

While I would never make a decision based on something like that, in my experience, companies that use slack seem to be a bit more forward thinking.

It really doesn't matter in the slightest. Slack is way better though. My company doesn't use either - everything is done in Google Chat. It hurts.
