WR Commission- What would a teen girl want?

I've decided to cash in my commission on things that can be donated to local non-profits. My first target is a local group that focuses on empowering teen girls to rise above circumstance to become the women they have the ability to grow into. As a teen-mom myself, I really believe in this mission but don't have the time to volunteer for the org and instead have talked with the Exec. Director about providing some items as giveaways to encourage routine attendance at events.

Anyway, if you were a teen girl- what WR Commission Exchange item would motivate you to attend events this group puts on? I can't decide between a bunch of Amazon gift cards or giving a few high-ticket items like Airpods, Switch, Lululemon backpack, etc.

I don't have, or know, any teen girls (my teen boy is no help here either), so anyone with insight there please help! It should be noted: many of these girls are children of addicts and victims of abuse. So, I'm a little worried that if I donate an item that's too high-ticket it may get stolen by a family member. However I don't know if I should plan on that, or wait to see if it becomes a problem.

I have a teen cousin, she is as much into technology as you'd expect teens to be, so anything that can be plugged into a wall will make her happy.

That being said, I get your point, you might not want to get them a high value item, girls love dresses, flowers and jewelry (doesn’t have to be expensive).

It really is the thought that counts!

I am hoping to tow-the-line between expensive enough that it motivates some attendance and participation, but inexpensive enough that it's not worthy of theft. That said, I'm sure these parents love their kids and want them to do better- I just am terrified of being a catalyst for a fight or other traumatic event for people who have already been through so much.

I feel like teen girls loooove Lulu anything and it's not high ticket enough to be a huge target for theft (imo) so I might go with that. iPad/Airpods/Switch are sweet gifts but people know they're expensive and they would probably be a target for theft.

You could also go with Amazon gift cards and buy some stuff from there to donate. Teen girls love makeup and spa items- you could put together some inexpensive makeup items and bundle them together in a cute little gift basket.

I didn’t even think of using the GCs to order stuff to donate! Love that idea!

wow - first off huge thank you to you for supporting this organization! What a lovely way to use the commission. You can never go wrong with Amazon gift card, they can then order whatever they might like which could be life changing for them. The iPad would also be great because it could help them with learning. You can't go wrong with Amazong GC though :)

No judgement, just wishing I was as innocent as teen AlphaCharlie.... probably would have avoided the whole “teen mom” thing 😂 (Not that I’d change it now, it’s pretty nice being younger than all the other moms by a solid decade)

Thanks for making a donation, that's so kind of you!  Items that teenage girls would like would probably be the Lululemon, GCs, iPad, and airpods.
