You get a Bear, and You get a Bear, Everyone gets a Bear

What is one of the biggest bonuses you get from working at home?

For me it's the wildlife I get to see on a daily basis. This picture was taken in my neighbors backyard 20 min ago. The big old fella didn't even care we were there. This was taken about 30 feet away, and I am guessing it is about 400 pounds.

We are not allowed to have bird feeders where I live, otherwise the city fines us. Why?? Because of Big ones like these. They go around eating all the bird seed and destroying everything insight. Honestly though, it's pretty funny seeing a bear hanging upside down trying to get a bird feeder. ha ha

They come around pretty often to be honest. But they don't usually sleep for 6 + hours.ย 


Lol a couple years back there was a bear about that size that was friends with our wolf. They would walk up and down the fence together. We had to put our boy down two summers ago, and the Bear never came around last year. I like to think that this is the same bear and he is missing our wolf.ย

Used to. Had two actually. One was a Artic wolf/Siberian Husky, the other was Timberwolf/malamute.ย

I traveled international with my last company, i was gone 60% of my kids lives at age 5 and 8 at the time. The days are long but the years are short, being home for a full year with my young kids has bar none been amazing (and super stressful lol).

I feel this 100% even though I don't have kids. I worked away and would only spend 6 days a month in my house.

Now, being able to work from home and have an actual life, is amazing.ย

Big old guy is still there. I uploaded a video of it sleeping. He huffed at me and swatted the ground, and I recorded it, but my silly self did not. So enjoy a video of a sleeping bear.
