I've been called a lot of things while selling but the two words that make me see red would have to be "Bud" and "Champ"

As a woman in tech - 'doll' really takes the freakin cake for me, though i did also have a customer who referred to me as 'little lady'

Champ seems to have a more sarcastic or mocking undertone. I'd still take 'Champ' over 'Pal'

I get unnecessarily and overly triggered when someone calls me bud.

The people close to me know that word's a large no-go, and I have to restrain myself from being visibly upset when I hear it from a stranger.

I know most people don't like being called bud, but I become irrationally triggered and I don't really know why.

I used to have a horrible habit of calling folks short names like bud (cause I’m terrible with names) I’ve since reprogrammed myself to call almost everyone “boss” or “partner”
