Before The 'Rona came along and crushed my sales spirit, I used to knock on doors. I wasn't trying to one call close. It was more a fact finding mission, take a look at their current telelcome infastructure, see how much information I could squeeze out of the receptionist, get contact information for the DM, and then bounce.
This is how I used to prospect and it was great because it gave me WAY more information than some bullshit list marketing pulled together.
It's definitely old school, but I knew that for every 50 doors I hit, I'd get three meetings, two proposals and one closed deal. When the pipe is empty, hit the streets.
Anyone else still kicking it oldschool?
