Zoom Fatigue or Real Fatigue

Honestly, is it zoom fatigue or just real fatigue? I work as much and in front of the same computer i would be at if in an office. Are we blaming zoom or is it just a lot of work and something to blame. I have done all day in a conference room multi days in a row and felt just as shitty. this is a real question, is it just workload sucks or is there a technology factor?

Is zoom fatigue just regular workload fatigue

I think zoom fatigue is a real thing solely based on in pre-pandemic times, people would rarely turn their cameras on (me being one of those people)....now everyone has gotten so comfortable with this new virtual world that its almost expected to always have your camera on.

Its a lot less taxing to have your cameras off so you can easily multi-task, zone out, not worry about your every move, etc but now every meeting internal/external are cameras on.

Hopefully one day sales travel will start again because face to face meetings are still the quickest way to close a deal.  I would be hard pressed to believe any sales leader if they said they now have "fewer meetings per closed won/lost opp" than when people were able to go onsite and speed up the sales cycle.  We are seeing at least 4-5 additional meetings these days per opp.

The closed stat is so true, its easier to have meetings about the meetings and make no decision. It is a tough selling environment for sure, great input

It's both.

I catch myself day dreaming during calls, my eyes or my head or both throb, tense shoulders, etc. Then you have to deal with looking at yourself, constant critique, right lighting/framing, etc.

It's a lot to deal with.
