Friends of the War ROOM thank you for your attention (again) - Just like the title says - I'm making a change in both organization and industry. Role should be basically the same AE with some AM components (people love my management of operations teams AND my ability to sell apparently). I've been able to push a lot of issues out of sight and mind b/c I didn't feel I had options but now I do and I CANNOT stand the shit I used to be able to smile and eat. Like me being told that focusing on a 1.5mil/year proposal isn't a good use of my time and maybe I'm not the right guy for the job.......

Here's the deal on the switch:

•I'm getting work for someone I respect and like

•going from hybrid to full remote

•from board debt controlled to private owned

•higher base (plus or minus some guaranteed commission I'm walking away from)

•No more micro management

•from selling into companies to selling into to state & county gov't

•from arguing and not knowing what commission or bonus will look like to standardized no nonsense process

•from sales for sales sake to meaningful end mission

And these are all good things and the offer letting is coming today and they want me to start 1/1/25 BUT I'm so fucking nervous about telling my CEO who I've been working directly under. And I shouldn't be - I'm being a bitch and I need some support and someone that isn't my brain to say LETS FUCKING GO and stop being a bitch. Oh and I'm going to work for the CRO that my CEO fired 2 years ago...maybe that or the closeness of us working together in the past 6 months, or him going to my wedding, is having this knee shaking affect on me...help!

Also any opinions, questions, or thoughts are obviously welcome - I respect and crave all of your savage insights.
