Anybody work for/interviewed at GitLab?

Spoke with a recruiter recently and it looks like I may move along in the interview process.

Seems like a great place for a sales rep. I'm in the tech industry already and familiar with GitLab as a product and DevOps as a methodology.. anyone work there that can tell me if quota is reasonable and what internal advancement looks like?

Product is pretty widely used imo.. so really curious to learn people's experience. Recruiter said they want to fill the position by EOM so it could be a *very fast* process

Interviewed with them - salary will depend on your location and is non-negotiable

For me it was less compared to what other companies offered, so I declined

But seems like a good culture, all remote, and everyone I spoke to was very transparent, direct and no bullshit

Recruiter mentioned that on the phone. I'm in Seattle, so market comp tends to be high. I think for the mid-market AE position I was discussing she said 160 OTE... 50/50 split..

Quotas change too often to be a factor in looking a most jobs - unless its just really unrealistic out the door. If that's the case, its very fair to ask how the company is going to help you attain it.

The premise is YOU will put in the effort but YOU will need assistance ramping up, etc. otherwise you're just being set up to fail and no one wants that.

Interviewed there and got pretty far. Ultimately wasn't a fit but they were crazy transparent and friendly.
