Jesus Henry Fucking Christ did anyone else receive a "ViP inViTe" from the corp bro email today?

why in the fuck would bravado EVER think it's a good idea to email me at my work address?

this is also neglecting the fact that IVE ALREADY SIGNED UP WITH A PERSONAL ADDRESS IN ORDER TO PROTECT MY ANONYMITY

this feels like a breach of my privacy specifically my intention to keep my actual professional reputation separate from this social network.

am I overreacting? or is bravado overreaching?

Would strongly consider changing in your outreach, that nearly gave me a heart attack. I specifically used my personal email so that I could keep this out of my work inbox. I don’t want my employer having any access or knowledge of that info in any capacity.

Also you have to sync your LinkedIn with your bravado profile, couldn’t you cross-reference names/ LinkedIn info before sending an email like that?

Also, the email just has blatantly untrue statements:
“X company was voted one of the top 50 sales teams in the United States, which is how you were chosen to receive this invite.” We are not a US-based company.

You could at least try to make the email somewhat personalized.

I also realize I’m being hyper-critical because this was alarming, but yeah there’s definitely some work to be done here.

Also to be frank, I really don’t care to know if any of my colleagues are on here. Couldn’t this be a preference that is set in the on-boarding process?
