Customer is Clan Leader in my Discord (He doesn't know)

Long story short, I play this game where guilds/orgs make the gaming experience better (Not New World, that shits garbage). I joined this group a while ago and over the last few months the leader who organized everything etc went silent. He told me he was working on his own company and we've talked on Discord about our backgrounds, shooting the shit and whatnot.

Well, today I did a discovery call with my A.E and I swear it was him. Everything I personally know v.s the public info regarding his LinkedIn and Company matched up.

I haven't verified but has anyone else have something wild like this happen? How did you proceed?

Threaten to expose him to all his colleagues if he doesnโ€™t send you a $2.5M PO. ย Take your chances when they come.

Cool, but right now, you do nothing.
It would be totally disruptive at this stage in a deal cycle. Might be something to ask about later on, particularly if it will help move the deal along.

I mean, if it comes up I say deal with it then? Probably best to keep it separate, forever if you can would be ideal if it were me

I'd only talk about it post-close or closed-lost.

Don't make it weird.ย

ha! wow this is insane! I would keep that shit in your back pocket and bring it up at a more key stage. See if you can plant some more info on discord conversations to have some more info to verify onย

could become a fun game!ย

I think it would only help push the deal across the line. You get to social proof your company because you have a preexisting relationship.ย
