Elon Musk // Tesla: Overrated, Underrated, Just fine?

What's up fam,

Elon is a crazy man, achieving insane things on the regular.

What do you guys think of him and his main company Tesla.

Tesla was trading at 364 times earning a few months ago, don't now current numbers but should be similarly insane.

It is insane for any company to trade that high.

I know they are kind of a different topic, but what do you all think overall?

Elon has some great ideas for sure. I can't see Tesla continuing to compete with leading car manufacturers 10 years from now however.

Elon is great at marketing and getting people to be excited about his newest ideas.

I don't get why people have such a hard on for him though. In the end he's just another billionaire doing billionaire things.

Also, had a Tesla, fun car, but they are very much over rated.

I see 2 arguments:

1) The guy is a fraud. Tesla Truck is a lie. Self driving tunnel: Lie. Economics of re-usable rocket: a lie (think how people still do not re-use the bottle of expensive wine). Called a hedge-fund manager's boss after he was doxxed bc he posted articles criticizing tesla. Solar Shingles? (yup you guessed it, a LIE. Oh and btw him buying bankrupt Solar City was Tax Evasion trust fund engineering for his brother & cousin). Pleaded guilty to securities fraud.

ON THE OTHER HAND:

2) He has created cars that people love. When ever you drive one, it makes you feel like the entire auto industry was absolutely screwing consumers for the past 50 years. They really are great.

Decide for yourselves.

He's interesting that's for sure. Sometimes I feel like I never know what he's going to say next. The cars are ok but people love them. Could he use his money to make the world/earth better...yes. But he's also the only one with enough money to fund the space stuff he does and let's face it, at our rate, we will need a second home at some point. We've pissed off Mother Earth long enough.
