I'm sounding the alarm!

My fellow savages,

This is coming from a place of love so please hear me out.

As someone who receives LinkedIn/Email/Texts messages on the daily... please for the love of God, be AUTHENTIC.

I understand that we're all being pressured by our superiors and social posts on what to sell, how to sell or why to sell.

But that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice what's unique about you... the person doing it!

The sheer amount of sales messaging saturation that I've seen for these last 24 months has accelerated to the point where I am about 98% sure this is either a robot or an outdated cadence that someone suggested on Linkedin.

I'm going to punch the screen if I see another variation of the following....

Hi ChumpChange,

My name is ___________ with ___________. I saw that you liked/posted _________ concerning _____________. I've spoken with other decision makers at (lists notable companies) where ____________ happens to ____________ which ends up __________. What if I was to tell you ______________ by ______________? How are _______ impacting your (insert my employer)? Here at _____________ we specialize in __________ for businesses such as yours. If your interested in learning more about _______ feel free to book a meeting with me at (Salesloft/Gong/ChiliPiper/Calendly link).

Cheers,

<Insert Name/Title>

The moral of the story, the messaging above is stale AF and I promise you it's what countless people are seeing on the daily. Cut through the noise and stand out! People buy from people... never forget that.

Live Mas Amigos!

This is every template I get from leadership, outside of the link to calendly since we are too cheap for that

I had a calendly link in my signature for over a year. Not one meeting was booked that way - it was all done via mutual agreement, as usual.

People on my team rely on this and it drives me crazy!

Reply to warm inbound leads with "here's my calendar, find a time".

Pick up the phone idiot, they want to give you money!

The less "work" you make a prospect do, particularly in the early stages, the better off you are.

I've seen this exact exchange countless times. Totally ignorable.

We had a boilerplate message like this that we plugged into one of those Sales Nav automation tools when I was an SDR. It never worked. Only the ones I wrote manually went anywhere.

Couldnโ€™t agree more. Unless you are offering a deal/customer, I need to spend my time on something that does.
