Is Marketing the easiest fucking job ever?

What's up savages,

I went through a presentation with our Head of Marketing, it was literally a couple stats and elevator sales pitches.

Also a ton of BS about being genuine and humorous. What? I agree with that but do we really need a whole presentation to talk about this? lol

Seriously, is there an easier role at a company than marketing? Both HR and Ops sound harder and more complicated.

Note: There are some dope-ass marketers but I feel that those have their own businesses as they genuinely figured out how to market shit.

I genuinely feel that marketing spends all their time editing the same marketing presentation, forever.

Really depends on the organization, industry, etc. Marketing can be the life blood of a company or a complete waste and drain. And since the job of Marketing is basically to facilitate sales, a good sales person can easily take care of most of Marketing'd duties.

I’ve been in sales for 13+ years and I did ~2 years in marketing at a biotech startup. That marketing team was absolutely stellar, I learned a ton and have never worked so hard in my life. Needless to say, that stellar team broke off and started their own gig - providing marketing services to other biotech startups. I now have an appreciation for great marketing and nominal crap marketing (which is most of them). Marketing can be a thankless job since sales reps are very hard to please anyhow
