Lots of reps are saying they prefer Outlook over Gmail - what's so good about it?

There's a number of threads on other subjects that end up bringing Outlook VS Gmail for sales and I was curious to know the specifics of which features you savages are using to lower sales friction on each toolset (G workspace VS MSFT Teams).

I prefer working at companies that use

It's not so much a matter of preference, but rather familiarity.

Also, Google can't get it's head out of its rear and continually links me up with my personal account, rather than my work account. So there's that.

"Links me up?" Can't you control it in the setting?

You can be signed in to multiple at a time, but it seems Google always prefers one or another when using any of their services. It's extremely annoying to have it load and then have to click to your other account each time.

Or when it just fails to recognize the other account. I run into this all over the place, since Iโ€™ve been online for decades and some profiles probably got screwed up along the way.

I think there are pros and cons to both Gmail and Outlook. I think that Gmail wins with the extensions. I miss little things about Outlook.

Outlook as a dedicated program/app has the feel of a real system. Gmail feels too informal and web browser based IMO.

Being able to collaborate more with Google docs would be nice, but Outlook is the only work email I have used

Both of them seem to copy off one another. I don't see a major difference.

I liked outlook because I got to experiment a little with their font sizes and stuff. Also it seems more organized (in my head for me).
But at the end, it's all the same.

I've used gmail exclusively for the past 5 years, had microsoft before that and honestly it doesn't matter. Some people like MSFT better because it sorts better and the display is more user friendly. For the birds if you ask me though.

MS365 for email / sharepoint, etc. + Slack for Comms. MS Teams is just too slow.

I have been using Outlook and Gmail and I'll choice Gmail all day, everyday. Way better!

+ all the extensions you can get such as STREAK, ChatGPT writer and so on! Works quite well!

I dislike how clunky outlook is. Also, is there a way I can track opens in outlook?

My biggest beef with G-email is threads. I am always paranoid to include internal communication with a client when I answer one of the emails on the same thread. Like how hard is it to separate them, google?
