Places to travel?

What's up savages,

I'd like to plan a vacation later this year.

What are some of the places you recommend traveling to?

What is the best place you've ever traveled to?

EDIT: I am pretty open in almost all areas.

Looking to travel either with a girl or two homies.

I am not a wild party animal anymore, so rather looking for somewhere with a ton of culture, and history, I'd like to try and learn new things. Love nature too.

For some background, I've been to around 12 countries in Europe, Argentina, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Cuba, and Uruguay, probably forgetting a couple but looking to go somewhere I haven't been before.

Obligatory your mom’s bedroom obvi.

Happy to help but need more details.

- How long do you want to be gone?

- Traveling alone, with kids, as a couple, with friends?

- Approximate budget

- Do you want the trip to be super relaxing, party central, outdoors focused?

Can I visit your bedroom instead, my queen? 😍

I added some more info to the post but...

I am looking at 10-14 days, will travel either with a girl or with a couple friends.

Budget is pretty open as I am looking to plan my trip in advance so I'll have enough time to plan accordingly (:

I'd say outdoors and culture or history focused, learn and see new things, I love being in nature and learning about other cultures and trying their food.

More details about what kind of a traveler you are will be very helpful.   Do you like history/architecture/museums?    Beach/tropical?  Cities?   Mountains?   Do you like thrills or are you hang out poolside?   Do you hike?   Prefer to cruise?   So many options!

International now that borders are easing.  Perhaps go to Japan? They have the new Super Mario World that I'm dying to check out.

About 4 times and each city/town has its own culture and history.  You can't do everything at once.  Pick a few places and start exploring!

Half the fun lies in the journey, if you're into that sort of thing.
But you don't provide any details on your preferences.  Hard to provide suggestions.

Miami - it was half work trip/vacation and I had an absolutely blast. California and Vegas would be next on the list as I love both of those for vacations.

Miami sounds awesome! I am more looking to travel somewhere outside of the US. Any suggestions? (:

Costa Rica!  Have you been there yet?

Animals/nature, check.   Manuel Antonio NP - stay in Quepos area (plenty of spots to choose from).   Also a breathtaking beach at MA.
Adventure, check.  Ziplines everywhere, going through rain forests.   River rafting.  Hikes!
Culture, check.  Visit coffee plantations if you're interested in that cultivation.   Drive around and look at all the strawberry farms - and their fresh strawberries cannot be beaten!   I digress.
Volcanos!  Poas, Arenal...you have many to see and visit.

I think you convinced me. Costa Rica sounds awesome, I think this will be top of the list along with Thailand.

Mountains and by mountains I mean the ones that cell service is shitty and you can just unplug for a few days,

Montana, Appalachians or white mountains in NH. Just look for low populated mountain areas and understand that because carrier subscriptions (Verizon, ATT and T-Mobil) are low the carriers won’t want to be paying monthly leases to the tower owners for minimal return.

Pick a place you have not been and are unlikely to easily visit later in life.  I.E. Don't go to Yellowstone, you can do that later when you're old and talking the glory days.

Great suggestion, that is exactly what I am looking for. Somewhere fucking far away, probably Asia or something super different that what I've seen before.

Some cool places that may be underrated: Portugal (Lisbon and Porto are nice), anywhere in Spain outside Barcelona (Barca is fine, just a bit overrated), New Zealand (the flight sucks, but it's worth it), and Belize (interesting Central American country).

Thailand is a blast. Been there twice, and would definitely go a third time. Great food, culture and lots of things to do. Also, pretty affordable.

Oooooh outdoors and culture?

India if you can handle it.  The mountains in the north/Rishikesh are absolutely beautiful.

Indonesia outside of Bali if you have time to spend 2x days on a plane - best hike of my life was the Kawa Ijen krater in Java.  Very quiet, cool culture.  I haven't been outside of Bali/Java but would love to go to Jakarta/Komodo.  Rinjani is supposed to be an incredible hike, but they got fucked by an earthquake in 2019, not sure if the trail is open yet.

I also am dying to go to Sri Lanka.  I've heard it's like India but more chill, and there's supposed to be good hiking.

My next big trip will be Santorini, Athens, and Mykonos. So basically a Greece tour.

Great weekend trips would be Nashville, Louisville (if your a bourbon guy), San Antonio for the river walk, Charleston SC is pretty cool.

Longer trips Puerto Rico is amazing, obligatory turks and Caicos mention, Ireland would be great, that Iceland volcanic glacier resort would be amazing. Big fan of st Thomas in the Virgin Islands. Mexico is beautiful but its a 50/50 shot you get murdered/raped/kidnapped. Italy. I would probably avoid France, they aren't huge fans of American tourists + Paris is just dirty, smelly, and crowded

I've got a long list of places I'm trying to hit this year and next. This is just to name a few I've either been to or plan to go to soon.
