Selling human services is exhausting

I sell people who could write. That's basically it. A lot of different things that that covers, but that's the punchline of it all. 

And it's exhausting. 

I continually meet with people/prospect/do all the work that we're all used to doing sell the project and then end up spending a lot of my time talking things through with clients because the Projects team just can't seem to make things work. I wish I had somewhere to tie this up into an engaging post. But frankly I just need to complain to somebody who isn't my dog.

I'm in sales so I obviously have a god complex, but is it too much to ask to have someone else hold things up for a minute?

 It's exhausting.
