My company wrapped up our sales/company kick off last week, and booooiiiii did it suck. We did this weird hybrid in-person/virtual thing where all the presentations were over zoom, but if you wanted to come in you could sit in a large conference room with a bunch of others. I came into the office and sat in the conference room most of the time, mostly just to cut up with buddies who I haven't seen in a long time and talk shit about the presentations and presenters. They mixed in bullshit like virtual yoga and meditation, virtual guest speaker events, and of course tons of training. What sucks is that I remember being new here years ago and I actually got a lot out of kickoff. Not sure if it was just because I was new, or because it was all in person which forced us to actually close our computers and listen to what was being presented. But now, with this approach, sadly it was mostly a waste of time. Get this - they didn't even provide any free drugs. Had to bring my own and shit. Thanks Obama.
Anyone got any kickoff stories from this year, lets hear em.
